Educational Consultation
& Advocacy
Navigating your child’s needs within the school system can be difficult. The terminology itself can be confusing. We are here to help you walk through the process with as little stress and as much support as you need in the stage you are in.
We run a three tier approach to this service because we understand that not everyone is in the same stage of this process. No matter where you are - beginning, middle or end - we are here to help!
Educational Consultation
A Tier Model Approach
Lets Break it Down..
As a mom, it’s heart-wrenching to watch your child struggle in school—whether it’s with academics, making friends, or just feeling out of place. You want nothing more than to see them thrive, but sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it feels like you just don’t know how to help. You’re not alone in this—many parents feel like they’re failing their child when they can’t figure out how to support their success, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Children are in their prime for learning and growing, and they need support from all areas of their lives—peers, teachers, family, and yes, you. But when your child is struggling, it’s easy to feel like you’re missing something. Whether it’s trouble focusing, fitting in socially, or managing their emotions, it’s painful to watch them feel lost while you feel helpless to make a difference.
It’s our job to ensure that their struggles—academically, socially, and emotionally—are recognized and addressed. Every child deserves the chance to succeed, and you deserve the support you need to guide them there.
Together, we’ll identify what’s really going on, explore the root causes, and provide actionable steps to help your child overcome obstacles and find confidence. You don’t have to feel like you’re failing them anymore. Your child can flourish—and you’ll be right there beside them, empowered with the tools and knowledge to help them navigate school and life with success.
Watching your child struggle in school can be overwhelming. The frustration of not knowing how to help them, feeling like you're falling behind, and dealing with the complexities of the educational system can leave you exhausted and unsure of where to turn. We get it—you're trying to be everything to your child while also advocating for their needs in a system that sometimes feels like it's working against you. That’s why we’ve designed our support system in three tiers to meet you and your child wherever you are in the process. Each tier is focused on providing the exact support you need so that you can stop feeling lost and start making tangible progress for your child’s success.
Tier 1 Support: Clarity and Guidance
Tier 1 is all about providing you with the foundational support and guidance you need to better understand the educational system and the tools available to you.
Educational System & 504/IEP Process Support: If you're confused about what a 504 or IEP even means or how to navigate the system, we’ve got you covered. We’ll help you understand the process step-by-step and provide clarity on what options are available for your child.
Document Support for Initiating or Reviewing an IEP/504: If you're just starting the process, we can assist with any documents you need to begin or review, so you don’t feel alone in that first big step.
Follow-up Support on Previous Conversations: Sometimes, the paperwork and the details can be a lot to absorb, and you may need more time to process. If you've already had a consultation but need to revisit something or dive deeper into specific points, this tier ensures that you get ongoing support, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Tier 2 Support: Comprehensive Action Plan for Your Child
If you’re ready to take your advocacy to the next level, Tier 2 digs deeper into your child’s specific needs and offers more hands-on support. This tier is for moms who want a clear, actionable plan of how to support their child while navigating the educational system.
A Thorough Review of School Records: We’ll dig deep into your child’s school records, focusing on patterns in their academic, emotional, and social performance. This gives us insight into what’s really going on, what’s been successful, and what’s been missed.
Individualized Plan of Action: We create a personalized strategy tailored to your child’s unique needs, helping you better advocate for them in and out of the classroom. This isn’t just about the paperwork—it’s about knowing exactly how to help your child succeed in a way that works for them.
Review of 504/IEP Paperwork: If your child already has a 504 or IEP in place, we will review the current paperwork to identify any gaps or areas where their needs are not being fully addressed.
Modification Plan for Existing Plans: If your child’s current 504/IEP isn’t meeting their needs, we’ll help you modify it with clear expectations focused on what your child needs to thrive in their learning environment. We’ll ensure that the accommodations are specific and actionable so that your child gets the support they deserve.
List of Potential Solutions: If the current plan isn’t effective, we will work with you to explore new, creative solutions to get your child the support they need, whether that’s adjusting the existing 504/IEP or suggesting new interventions.
Preparation for School Team Meetings: We understand how overwhelming it can be to walk into a meeting and advocate for your child, especially if you feel like you don’t have the language or the knowledge to speak up. We’ll give you the tools and language you need to be your child’s best advocate during these critical meetings.
Tier 2 is your roadmap through the entire 504/IEP process, ensuring that you feel supported and empowered every step of the way.
Tier 3 Support: Full Support Through the Entire Journey
For those who want to feel truly supported through the entire process, Tier 3 offers ongoing, comprehensive support with a focus on advocacy, communication, and peace of mind.
Ongoing Advocacy & Support: We’ll be with you every step of the way, supporting you with the language, strategies, and confidence to advocate for your child effectively. You’ll never feel alone in this process—we’re your partner in securing the best possible outcome for your child.
Communication with Your Child’s Support Team: We’ll reach out to your child’s teachers, therapists, and other support staff to gain a complete understanding of what’s working, what isn’t, and where adjustments are needed. This open communication ensures that everyone is on the same page about what your child needs and how best to support them.
Weekly Access to Your Educational Consultant: The process can be long and filled with unexpected challenges. That’s why you’ll have weekly access to your consultant via email and Slack to address questions or concerns in real-time. No more feeling like you’re waiting for weeks for answers or feeling uncertain between meetings.
Full Support for IEP/504 Meetings: You’ll have our expertise supporting you during every meeting. We’ll help you prepare, ensure you ask the right questions, and advocate effectively for your child’s needs. We’ll make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Tier 3 is our most hands-on, ongoing support option, designed to take the stress and confusion out of the entire process. You’ll have the support you need to get your child the accommodations they deserve while never feeling like you’re navigating this alone.
