Children are in their prime for learning and growing and they do this through interaction with peers, teachers, parents, friends, and family. It is our job to make sure that their struggles academically, socially, emotionally are being identified so that the child has equal opportunities as those around them to succeed.

Our Educational Consultation Tier Model Approach

Navigating your child’s needs within the school system can be difficult. The terminology itself can be confusing. We are here to help you walk through the process with as little stress and as much support as you need in the stage you are in.

We run a three tier approach to this service because we understand that not everyone is in the same stage of this process. No matter where you are - beginning, middle or end - we are here to help!

  • This tier includes the following:

    • Support with any questions regarding the educational system and the 504/IEP process for your child.

    • Support with any questions regarding documents to begin the process of an IEP/504

    • Support with any questions regarding documents for a current 504 or IEP already in place.

    • Support or follow up from a previous conversation had with one of our consultants and needing to discuss items more in details

  • This tier includes the following:

    • Everything included in Tier 1

    • A deeper review of school records to best understand patterns, performance, and success.

    • An individualized plan of action to best support your child and to support you with advocating for their needs.

    • Review of current and past 504 or IEP paperwork.

    • A modification plan of an existing 504 or IEP with expectations focused around the what your child needs from their school environment to succeed

    • A list of possible solutions to your child not getting their needs met on their current 504 or IEP. (if applicable)

    • Support in preparation of upcoming school team meetings scheduled to help you best advocate for your child and their needs.

  • This tier is intended to walk you through the 504 or IEP process from start to finish. It is our most hands on, à la carte, option.

    This tier includes the following:

    • Everything mentioned in Tier 1 & 2

    • Following along with you during the entire process and supporting you with supportive language to use to best advocate for the needs of your child.

    • Communication with your support team (i.e. -therapist, teachers, adjustment counselor, etc) to better understand what services your child could benefit from and to also understand what is working and not working in and out of the classroom.

    • Weekly access with your educational consultant via email and slack to answer questions/concerns that come up in between meetings with school team and in between meetings with your educational consultant.

    • Support and advocacy throughout the entire process.
